7/16/24 – Legendary Service on the way to the Highpointers Konvention: We only recently learned Kimball NE has an official High Point Welcome Center, where they will present you a certificate recognizing a visit to Panorama Point. Although we had checked Nebraska off our list back on June 21, 2022, we needed to (had to) pick up an official 5,424’ certificate on the drive from Denver to Rapid City!! Unfortunately, our late arrival into DEN, even before our flight delays (further exacerbated by our need to document a stop at the nearby 41N 103W whole integer latitude-longitude crossing) meant we had no chance of reaching the Welcome Center before its closing, plus they would be closed for our return trip on Sunday. However, the staff stepped up and volunteered if we would provide the necessary information, they would prepare a pair of certificates for us and leave them in the rack outside the front door. Sure enough, there they were as we arrived just before sunset. It wasn’t just good service, it was legendary!!!
